Hi everyone,
I’m currently exploring adding another listings to my existing lists and the thought of it starting to get me a bit overwhelmed. I’d love to hear how others are managing this efficiently. Do you use specific tools, strategies, or best practices to stay organized and avoid errors?
Any advice, tips, or recommended resources would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Hi @Mo252
✔️ Use Airbnb’s scheduled messages
✔️Keep a shared calendar with your cleaners so they know which property needs attention. Checklists per listing avoid mix-ups.
✔️Label storage bins for each property or have “duplicate sets” (linens, toiletries, kitchen basics) so you can rotate quickly.
✔️Shared docs with your maintenance team helps you track what needs fixing and which property it belongs to.
@Mo252 @Patricia2526 I also make sure I clearly label each of my scheduled responses or anything unique to a listing with which space it is. Just to make sure the correct information is linked with the correct listing.
I can help with Co- Hosting. If needed.
@Mo252 You need not do it all alone. That's why we have a system of hiring Co - Hosts, who assist you in sharing your workload and takes care of most of the online work.
It is a big relief for most of the Hosts and lead to proper management. I can also assist you with finding Co- Host for your listings. Just let me know.
Hi @Mo252,
I'm wondering if you could say a little more about what advice / information you're looking for - what concerns are you having with regard to staying organized, avoiding errors, or anything else? Can you provide some examples of what's got you feeling overwhelmed?
@Mo252 I airbnb two rooms in my home. It can be challenging when you start but having at least two sets of everything (sheets, towels, duvet covers, bathroom rugs, etc...) helps when you have a late checkout and an early check-in.
I also replaced my front door lock with a Yale lock. This system works with my ADT alarm set-up as well as Airbnb. It knows when guests are checking in/out and sends guests a message via the Airbnb app with a front door code (usually the last digits of their phone number). Then, it withdraws access when guests check out.
Guests seem to like it because the code is easy to remember and so far, the system has worked flawlessly. Since I live in the home, I tell everyone that I like to meet them first before they use the front door code for the first time but it does save me from having to send out a code to everyone for that one room. I do wish Yale lock worked for both rooms rather than just one but at least I know that I don't have to send out codes in advance for one of the two rooms I'm renting.
Hi @Mo252 , Mike raised a really good point about switching on professional tools on the Airbnb app. Have you turned them on while setting up your listing?
Please let us know if you need more information or tips about it.
Regards,
