Airbnb language

Hello, I am new at hosting and I wrote in English, but I see that Airbnb translate automatically in Hebrew and French which are also 2 languages i am speaking and I see that they made some grammar mistakes. How can I change that?

@Debo1496 , when I am in the Airbnb inbox on my laptop, there are four symbols near the top of the screen.

Click on that first one and from there you can toggle off "translation".

Hope that helps!

You can add your own translations of the listing text to as many languages as you wish, so that when guests view your listing in those languages it defaults to your version rather than auto-translate.

Hello @Anonymous , I've had the same issues as @Debo1496 when receiving messages from many guests, i have already turned it off but it still translates messages automatically from either spanish or english.

I have my listings in both languages but this happens in the private messages, its frustrating because i have answered in spanish or english until i see my message has been sent translated with words i wouldnt even use.

How can I stop the automatic translation and change the mistakes of airbnb in their translation?

@Debo1496 You can't disable the automatic translation from appearing to other users who view your listing. The link I gave you shows how to set the default text of your listing in the languages of your choice. @Lawrene0 's directions show you how to adjust the language settings to decide how text on the site appears to you.

Thanks Andrew. It has to be on a computer or I can do that from the app?

@Debo1496  I've never tried it on the app, but many of the advanced functions only work on the Desktop version. If you don't have access to a computer, you can log into Airbnb on your phone's browser and select "switch to Desktop version."

Thank you Andrew, I succeeded to do it!!

I do everything in English, I am Thai and the Thai translation is garbage, even worse on Facebook,

If I need it in Thai I just do myself, which is not that often

But if I want to translate myself in advance my listing in 2 more languages which I speak, how do I do that?

Just do what @Anonymous said, @Debo1496 . Go to the link he provided above and follow the prompts.

I am sorry that I misunderstood your original question. I thought you were merely tired of seeing ungrammatical translations. I see now that you want to do your own translating on your own listing.

Years ago I thought I should do the same thing on my listing since I am in bilingual Canada. The problem then had been that once the text was added, it couldn't be changed. So if I had to change a house rule, I could do it on the English side, but the second language, in my case the French, side was permanent and couldn't be edited. I ended up having to delete it and just allow the auto-translate to take over.

Hopefully it is all fixed now and you have better luck with it.
