All about linen and bedding sets

Linen.png

Hello everyone,

A topic that we talk about fairly regularly here in the Community Center is around how to manage linens and bed sheets, especially when it comes to providing them, changing them and washing them. We also see hosts ask what colour linen others think are the most welcoming, but also the most managable when used regularly.

There are quite a lot of different solutions that hosts adopt, many of which are based on the type of accomodation you offer, but one of common concerns is around controlling costs. Perhaps you have a plan of how often you change the bedding and replace it, perhaps you have little tips like applying a mattress cover to help prevent ware, perhaps you choose to wash your linen at a certain temperature to make them last longer.

How can you offer an excellent service and keep in budget at the same time?

Please share your tips on how to manage linens and bed sheets, and get inspired by the solutions suggested by other hosts. Please give a “thumbs up” on your favorite ideas shared by others!

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Lizzie

What a great idea. Do you iron bottom sheets?

Hi Alexandra, What hotel supply wholesaler are you purchasing from?! I have been looking for nice and quality sheets for quite some time without breaking the bank. I too have 5 beds that I need to make sure are all in perfect condition !

Hi, I’d also like to know the name of the sheets a player in Canada that you’re using

Hi @Alexandra0, could you please give me the name of the hotel wholesale supplier here in Canada? Thank you!

Lizzie, could you please give the name of your supplier?

Hi, which hotel supplier do you use? I purchased sheets last year from A hotel supplier, paid for the more expensive ones and they are now piling- very disappointing.

Could you let me know the name of the wholesale supplier you use? New to this. Monica, Ashford Lake, CT

where can you get hotel lines in USA?

curious about this canadian wholesaler... could you provide the website??

Thanks!

Hi Alexandra,  I'm getting ready to join Airbnb and still try to shop around for things.  I just noticed you mention about buying from hotel supply wholesaler, would you happen to have the company's name?  I went on google but there are so many.   I would appreciate if you or anyone give me advices.  Thank you very much.

Nicole

Please share your sheet supplier!

@Melanie-And-David0 @Nicole1242  @Tanner16 @Sandra858 Just noticed all these requests: no one tagged me, so I never saw the questions.

I use True North https://www.truenorthdistributors.com/. You can buy smaller quantities from them and I have found them very good.

Thanks!

P.S. You are a trooper for ironing sheets. I gave up ironing nearly 20 years ago and haven't looked back! No complaints from guests either.

@Melanie-And-David0 Ha ha... gotta tell you, I gave it up! I now use a hotel laundry service and they take care of it for me. I don't miss it at all: not for one second!

Hello Lizzie,

I found all your info helpful to me. I also have two properties in Canada. A few questions for you...

1. Where exactly do you get your hotel sheets from?

2. How do you store your sheets without getting that "stored closet smell"(if you know what I mean). I don't wash my sheets until the morning of my quests checking in so they smell fresh(but this stresses me out)!

3. And where do you get your pillow protectors from?
