Any suggestions for non-alcoholic complimentary items?

An issue I've  run into with leaving a complementary bottle of wine ect is the growing number of guests in recovery.  Its caused some issues .

As a result,  we no Longer provide this as a courtesy.  A bottle of sparkling water or juice is an adequate replacement I believe.  Unless you have further suggestions, I'd love to hear them .

@Toni4739  Good point!  During dry January I discovered this stuff, which is terrific and comes in a couple of flavors:  https://www.amazon.com/T%C3%96ST-All-Natural-Alcohol-Sparkling-Beverage/dp/B091GPJRLX/ref=sr_1_2_f3_...

I've also heard of a brand called De Soi, but I haven't tried it yet (and it's kind of expensive, though very pretty!):  https://drinkdesoi.com/products/variety-pack-bottles

Ha @Helen744 !!  Did not realize that!  Of course it's the height of winter for both of us, I guess.  Which makes me wonder why we torment ourselves at that time...

I give a bottle of wine for staying more than 4-5 days, but I also give some local juices or soft drinks or sparkling water and snacks for afternoon teas.

@Toni4739

it is a vexed question Toni , I personally have never left a bottle of wine but many other things, some of which are appreciated , some not so much . Always good coffee pods , two litres of milk,lots of tea and chocolate drinks are popular. . some people also leave bread and different cereals ,but I find these are often just wasted because people have many different diets as well as drinking preferences. During the winter I always leave soup mixes in packets as well.. I will leave rice in a container and oil vinegar tomato sauce salt and pepper. Cordial is also provided and as our water is good I leave a cold jug of water on hot days . My way of thinking is that I would not leave cigarettes so why would I leave wine .If I was hosting near a winery or a boutique distillery I would maybe mention it but not provide product. Some guest look for 'the freebies ' but if we are paying full retail then the bottom line must come into account ... H

@Toni4739 we don't leave wine for similar reasons - Between recovery, veganism, and religion its just now worth upsetting people. You (we) could ask if people would prefer wine or juice but its just more to get wrong!
