Bed lock

Hi - I am renovating my one bedder apartment for short term AirBnB stays and looking for a solution to lock my belongings underneath my gas lift bed. The unit has very little storage so am looking to maximise the storage I do have underneath the gas lift bed.

It may not be possible, however thought I would reach out to the AirBnb community to see if anyone has any suggestions.

I would suggest you ask a local handyman for solutions for fitting a lock @Rachel3116

It would damage your frame, but you could install a shed lock on on the side to prevent people from lifting it.

Another option would be not to lock the frame itself, but place boxes inside that could be individually locked. I am not sure where you are located but homedepot sells lockable bins. You could also make one yourself but drilling holes in the rubbermades and putting combination locks on them.

Very good suggestions - thanks for the picture too - very useful. I like the sound of lockable bins - will investigate. Thanks so much for the ideas @Jj42!
