Can I list my basement bedroom (without an egress window) as an official "bedroom" on my listing?

Is it legal/allowed/safe to list my basement bedroom, without an egress window, as a bedroom in my listing?

@Eteannette0 It depends entirely on your local codes. Ask the town/city that you are in.

@Eteannette0   I highly doubt it.  We have lived in or owned property in multiple states in the US, and every bedroom had to have an egress window.
