Can white noise machines reduce noise coming from neighbours?

Do white noise machines work in blocking noise from neighbours?

@G92 I tried one of them for myself and it worked, my neighbors however aren´t so loud so I guess it would depend on how much noise you want to block

Thank you for your reply @Patricio2 . I have the problem with one neighbour who has dementia and forgets to turn tv off at 3 am in the morning annoying my guests, so was thinking to buy one to try.

@G92I bought the EasySleep white noise and it worked just fine for me
