Creating a 'sub' listing of my 4 bedroom and want to 'lock' the off limit space, how do you lock?

Hi Hosts,

I have a four bedroom house that is listed and I would like to create a new listing just as a one bedroom (using the main floor suite). For those that have a scenario where they have multiple versions of one property, how do you 'lock' the other spaces? In this case it is bedrooms. We of course use locked key pads for our supply/owner closets but since the home is also rented as a full 4 bedroom I don't want the doors to look weird with an external lock.

How are you handling this?

Thanks for any insight

I rent individual bedrooms in my shared home, I just installed electronic bedroom locks I bought on Amazon and then in my app can give or prevent access.  It just looks like a fancy bedroom doorknobs.  Those types of locks might make a 2 bedroom option also?

Does the lock app reconnect after losing wifi.  I don’t live in the same state so a phone app probably will not work for me to unlock and lock bedroom doors

If you are a remote Host, and concerned you'll loose WiFI connection, you would have to use a mechanical lock either with electronic keypad (9V battery; not Wifi), or a simple mechanical only lock:
