Hi everyone, I need help with this.
I will be hosting my first guest next month and I don't know how to go about the damage charges. Can anyone assist please? I have to charge prior to their stay or after their stay? And how much?

On Airbnb there is no option to charge a security deposit. So there is no damage charge, unless the guest actually damages something. If you do find damage, you can decide how serious it is. If you want the guest to pay, you can use the send/request money option on the booking.
Many hosts do not charge for small damages that are easily repaired.

Thanks for your response. Actually I was a realtor here in Dubai for 6 years before I became an owner and host on Airbnb so the idea of security deposit came to my mind that is why I asked. Thanks once again.
