Each of us decide what we'd like to put into our listings to differentiate them in the particular markets we're involved with. So, for example, if you're in Manhattan and you have Free Parking, that's saying something! But if you're listing is on 5 acres, you probably don't need to talk about your free parking. If your listing is in India or Thailand and you have A/C, we'll that's quite a feat! But if it's anywhere in the US, you probably don't need to talk about it. Similar could be said about WiFi. And so on. . .
So that leads me to what I'm observing as a would-be traveler in the market I'm involved in (rural, mild/warm year round climate). Airbnb decides to feature amenities on the search results list that undersell pretty much all listings, and especially mine (at least at a glance). Of course, we have free parking! Of course there's A/C! Of course there's WiFi! And of course there's a kitchen (it's a whole house listing, so that's just plain redundant).
So what I'm asking is for the ability to dictate the Amenities List that's presented to the searcher. Does that make sense? And those items can easily be listed amenities that Airbnb already tracks. For example, my listing has a hot tub, hammock, W/D on premises, fire pit, etc. I'd like to list those ammenities to jump of the page to someone browsing. Travelers can rightfully assume that we have Free Parking, A/C, and a kitchen (or double check after they click on my listing). Right? Instead, these lame 3-4 amenities are listed for everyone and I can't talk about the cool stuff I'm doing. Any thoughts on this? Anyone know how to solve this?
