Do you have backup cleaners?

Do you have backup cleaners?

I was wondering if most Airbnb hosts have a plan B in case their cleaner goes missing at the last minute. If so, how do you deal with these cleaners? Do they know they're backup cleaners, or do they think it's just a one-off service (not the greatest option, I guess)? Do they feel uncomfortable knowing that they are not your first choice for cleaning the property? Where do you find these professionals available right away, if needed?

@Calvin173  Always have a backup plan!  I contacted another host near me and she and I "share" each other's cleaner as a backup...i.e., if mine can't come, I will book hers and vice versa.  I offer the backup cleaner a bonus (20-25%) for picking up the last minute job.

If you use a cleaning company, they may offer you a backup team at a premium price.

Important:  I do not do same day turnovers, which gives me a little more time to get a cleaner.

@Lorna170 I use an app where I can get backup cleaners straight away, so that's not a problem. The problem is that I always choose cleaners for a one-time job, and when I need them again, sometimes they're already busy, and I have to explain my requirements from the beginning to the new cleaner (and sometimes I don't have the time). Maybe I'll start looking for cleaners who work with a team and can always place the same crew inside my property, so I don't have to give the same instructions every time I need a new cleaner.

I use individuals and always confirm the night before, I do try to keep two employed at all times.  Unfortunately I am the backup plan if someone cancels at the last minute!  I also have EVERYTHING  typed out, laminated and put together with a ring binder in case someone new cleans.  When I say everything I mean--where everything is located, what exactly gets done in every room, etc.

I use a cleaning service so they arrange back ups if regular staff aren't available @Calvin173

That seems to be what most hosts do. I still use backup cleaners, but maybe I'll start migrating your way little by little.
