Doorbell disturbance

Now that school is out for the summer, two kids keep ringing the doorbell and running away and disturbing our guests. Have any of you dealt with that? It's annoying and could potentially lead to a bad review and certainly a guest who won't return.

I don’t have regular doorbells I have ring doorbell cameras and chimes inside that I can control. You could replace your doorbell with a ring doorbell that connects to the low voltage wires of your existing chime.

Have you got CCTV ? If so you could contact your local community police and see if they can track them down and have a gentle word with them @Laura8331

Hi @Laura8331

In my area we tend not to have doorbells at all. Airbnb guests, friends and deliveries all contact us on our phones.

Perhaps your situation is different, but thought I'd mention that not having one at all is also an option. There are plenty of good external security cameras available that aren't part of a doorbell system.

Hi Laura,

In my properties, I typically install a Ring Doorbell camera, which allows for easy management and monitoring when I have guests staying. This device provides real-time notifications and video feeds, making it convenient to see who is at the door even when I'm not on-site. Additionally, I have strategically placed cameras that focus on the main entrance to ensure clear visibility of the front area.

To enhance my guests’ experience, I have also prepared a comprehensive guidebook. This guide includes essential information, tips, and resources that my guests can utilize in various situations during their stay. I believe these measures contribute to a safer and more enjoyable environment for everyone.
