Finding, editing and seeing your guests check-in pictorial instructions

Hi,

I was offered an option to create a pictorial check in instructions for my guests. I did so and would now like to go back and edit this. However I can't seem to find a link to it on my listing and am wondering if my guests can even see what I created. Anyone help? Thanks Fiona

I don't know when you created this, but I don't even know if it still exists. I also created one of these years ago but, whenever I asked guests about it, they said they never saw it. Eventually, I stopped asking and just assumed guests don't see it, so I make sure to send them the regular instructions via message.

I was unable to find it either, but I do vaguely remember that you had to create it via the App and do it individually for each listing (even though mine are all in the same house) so perhaps you have to search for it within the App?

Perhaps someone else more knowledgeable can tell us if this tool still exists and if it works. I never see anyone mention it on the CC...

@Fiona732  I have only been able to access this on my phone through Airbnb app. It’s under Listing,  Info for Guests, then Check in Instructions. It used to be a little key icon, but that disappears a while back.  Hope this helped you out.

Thanks for helping us to find where this is located. I just had a look via the App and found the appropriate section. However, none of the info or photos that I uploaded is showing. It has all mysteriously vanished!

Okay, so now I have found the photos/instructions on one out of my three listings. Do you know if there is an easy way to apply this to all listings, or do you have to manually do it for each one individually?

I am still wondering if and how guests see this because, even on the one listing where it is showing, guest NEVER mention getting these instructions ever. I even send them a message a few days prior to arrival saying they should have gotten automatically instructions, but here is the info just in case, and no one ever says, yes I already got it, thanks.

PS and I have had guests for that particular room who still got hopelessly lost...

@Huma0  It has been a while since I set these up, but I am pretty sure I had to manually do it for both of our listings.

I used to send a message to guest with a link to send them directly to it. But after we stayed somewhere using Airbnb I realized this info shows up to guests under Getting There section of their reservation. (That is if you have filled it in on host end.) So now I mention to guests to make sure to look for it. Just to be on the safe side I also include the link to it in the directions. Which again will show up for them in the Getting There section of their reservation. (That is if you have filled it in on host end.)

Here is what I message guests:

A day or two before your arrival date, you should be able to view the address with directions, check-in instructions as well as an Airbnb reservation/check-in link under the Getting There section of your reservations. Please use these resources to help you properly identify and enter our home.

If for some reason you are not able to access this by then, please let me know and I will send the directions and check-in information to you via this message board.

I have not had any issues with guest getting info and they are all much appreciative of it as we are kind of off the beat-in path.

I honestly do not remember how I came about or found the link for my check in instruction. But I copied and saved the link and treat it like gold since it was hard to find. I do know the link is specific for each listing so maybe this is why there is no easy way to apply to all links. I will try and tinker around to see how I found link info and get back with you on that.

Thank you. Yes, I think it could be a really useful tool, but I just don't feel like my guests are looking at it. Most find the house okay, but they seem to be following the directions I message them in the thread.

Perhaps we get a different kind of guest, but a lot don't seem to look at their booking info at all, e.g. today a guest told me she had to ask another guest for my number. I told her it was already on her booking (besides which, I messaged it to her as well before check in).
