Same. Bread board caught alight and whole house smells of smoke. How do I get rid of the smell?

I have the same problem

The knobs on the cook top are in the front. Guests lean on the knobs and the cook top burners get turned on.

What I have done to avoid fires is take the knobs off. I show the guest the location of the knobs and explain the reason why. And ask them to remove them when done.

Try spraying a liquid product called Nok-Out and or place an ozone generator in the kitchen with the door closed over night. That should help.

Which listing are you referring to @Maritini1 - your profile shows you are a guest not a host.

Why would you leave a property for four days before going to check on your property after a guest has checked out.

Thats so dangerous as they could have left the property open or as you have found put it at risk/damaged it.

What you do is take time stamped photographs and videos of the damage. Submit a claim for damage to the guest. Get quotes for repairs and send through the platform to the guest.

I would hold  housekeeping service responsible for this. 4 DAYS ??

Don’t your clean after check out ?

It's the hosts responsibility to ensure their cleaning team goes in promptly after a guests stay. @Maggie633 . Housekeeping will only go in when they are booked to do so.
