How do you handle the cleaning and management of bed linens and sheets?

Hello everyone 😊

Today, I would love to hear how you handle your bed linens and sheets!

This is an important part of creating a welcoming atmosphere for your guests.

  • Some Hosts choose to manage laundry themselves, making sure to wash linens right after each guest checks out and keeping extra sets handy for quick turnaround.
  • Others prefer to take a step back and use a professional laundry service to make things easier, especially if they have a lot of guests or properties.

What’s your approach? Do you prefer to handle it yourself, or do you like the convenience of outsourcing laundry? 🧺

I would love to hear why you prefer your chosen approach and look forward to reading about your experiences in the comments!

Warm regards 🌻,

Hi @Donna1573 😊

Thank you for sharing this here!

It’s amazing that you can handle everything on your own. 😍

How often do you usually clean your space each month to get it ready for the next guest?

Hi @Elisa

I wanted to share a solution we've recently developed to helped short term rental hosts manage and identify their linen inventory.

It works with a durable, washable iron-on LinTag which is scannable with your mobile phone and our custom ** app.  One can embed rich information into the tag which is revealed upon scanning with a mobile phone.  For example, the sheet size, the suite, set, unit, brand, purchase date etc.

We are currently working on an inventory portal which will provide a view of all linen across different rooms, suites or units.

This may be of interest to your hosts as identifying or telling sheets apart can become a headache, particularly where hosts manage many different units or have help with cleaning bedding.

You can find us at **

Kind regards

Leonie

Hi @Leonie198 😊

Thank you for joining the conversation!

This is such a great discovery, thank you for sharing it here. 😍

How did you come across it?

Hi @Elisa

It was actually borne out of my own frustration.  I had to 'guess the sheet' far too many times!  I just knew there had to be a better way.

We've luanched the app and an MVP and it seems to be getting traction.  The roadmap is to develop it into a fully fledged linen management system for smaller hospitality hosts.  Similar to RFID in bigger hotels, but without the hardware & cost overhead.

If you would be interested in getting set up, please DM me.

Thanks

Leonie

Hi @Leonie198 😊

thank you so much for letting me know!

This is a great challenge for you. 😍

When did you launch the app, and how has it been going so far?

Hi @Elisa everyone!

I use a mix of self-laundry and professional service. I keep 3 sets of linens per bed – one in use, one spare, one being washed. I handle towels and sheets myself, but send duvets and protectors to a laundry service when needed.

Hi @Collage0 😊

thank you for sharing this here!

That’s a great approach!

How did you find the professional service? Are you satisfied with their work?
