Hey everyone 👋
I’ve been hosting on Airbnb for a while now, and I’m always looking for small, affordable ways to make my space more memorable for guests.
Recently, I added a few DIY touches and some cosy lighting, and it actually boosted my reviews — but I’m curious what you all do!
How do you add that “wow” factor to your Airbnb without breaking the budget?
Is it décor, lighting, amenities, or something unique you offer guests?
Would love to hear your creative ideas or even see a few examples from your listings 💫

We get more comments about the wireless phone charging stations we place on every night stand than any other amenity we provide our guests. It was something we added as a minor convenience, but it has produced some great comments in our reviews.
@Abu258 stick to the basics - plenty of toilet paper, pan scrubs, dishcloths, and washing up liquid plus dishwasher tablets are all simple things that make guests happy.

Hello ,
Do add branded toiletries and welcome bag as a gift . It excites guest more and they leave a good review after checkout.

I am an artist, so I do a painting and a note on it with their names as a welcome gift....I do each season depending on when they arrive
Is there something you do that you could share?
Hi @Brenda1801 - I love this concept! Do you paint these in advance in a batch or do you paint them before each guest?
I stick to the basic with high quality, cleanliness to the top and a big and warm smile!!
@Abu258 I believe the "wow" factor also lies in how warmly we welcome our guests. When someone feels genuinely cared for, it creates a sense of belonging and comfort, which naturally leads to great reviews.
So my suggestion is: invest in kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care for each guest.
I think this is a lovely approach @Aloogar-Host0. Thank you so much for sharing. Kindness costs nothing!
Perhaps it would be helpful to make the place less conventional, like creating a small library, a game room, etc.
Hi @Alvaro616!
Same as Mike and Jane leave them the basics troll , cling wrap , tinfoil scrubbers
spend and source second hand unique objects ..
Think comfort and what luxury you can provide
I personally can tell their isn’t much amenities and expense unit to spend on your property rather than meet and greet with your guest. Your guest likes it too much. You suggest them about the travels, Tours and local dos
and don’s.
Hi @Ashutosh36!
