Is 4th floor Apartment with no lift good for Airbnb?

Hi there, recently got an apartment at Lahore and willing to list it on Airbnb.

I have renovated the apartment with top notch qualities.

• It's walking distance from metro bus station

• It's at the city centre

• Close to all tourist attractions

My only concerns is that its a 4th floor Apartment with no lift, which also bothers me if I get bad reviews because of this though I have provided all amenities?

Its a residential building so there's no guard but I will be providing cameras outside my apartment specifically for security purposes.

I will provide the service where the guy would bring the luggage to there apartment

Any suggestions or advice or anyone have experience with such property? I would appreciate all advice.

Hi @Shahzaib10

An apartment on the 4th floor with no lift can still be successful on Airbnb, but it comes with some challenges that you’ll need to address strategically.

If your place has a great view, lots of light, or historical charm, you can make it a strong selling point.

Some guests don’t mind stairs and even see it as good exercise.

Be 100% transparent in your listing:

“Please note: The apartment is on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. Guests must be comfortable with stairs.”

Offer help with luggage if you live nearby or have a host assistant

Focus on value, highlight strengths like fast Wi-Fi, comfy beds, great location, view, or thoughtful interior design.

Best of luck!

Thanks a lot, @Patricia2526! Appreciate the advice-I'll clearly mention the stairs in the listing. Also arranging luggage help for guests. Thanks again for the support!

I agree it all comes down to value.

Besides the apartment layout, you have to know what market?  Stairs obviously probably younger market haha, that is okay your location seems ideal for that market.  You didn't say size and number of Guests climbing stairs can be hard.

A beautiful apartment for two in a high desired neighborhood.  A little discounted from elevator offerings.  Maybe puts me and my partner in a better rental that fits our budget.  Then think STR renting, stairs for a week and when on vacation I leave to go do things and come back in the evening so maybe twice on stairs.  Yes a difference but a difference don't make a negative.

Another thought that I use because I am in a small town  Who will deliver maybe groceries or food?  I do because I am offering in case they don't feel like driving 20 minutes to the grocery store.  This Grocery will deliver and here is their website.  They are not from my area so just tells them what they don't know.

you're right, it's ideal for younger travelers and shorter stays. We got Foodpanda for grocery and food, will surely mention it to the guest. Appreciate your insight!

@Shahzaib10 Great question—and you're already thinking like a smart host! Transparency is key, and it sounds like you’re handling it well by offering luggage help and highlighting the apartment’s strong points. 🌟

@Marie8425 made a great point about younger travelers and short stays—it’s all about matching the right guest to the right space.

@Patricia2526 nailed it with the suggestion to frame the stairs positively and focus on value. A beautiful, well-located space will always attract the right kind of guest.
