Little things guest look for

We’ve used AirBnB quite a bit and these are little things, and I do mean little, but a couple of things I would like to see is:

1.  Bigger mugs for coffee and tea
2.  Dishtowels
3. Adequate supply of silverware (I’ve been in places where there are only servings for 4, which means after each course if you use something, you have to wash before dessert.

4.  Same as above but for dishes.
5.  Maybe an extra blanket or two.

Cleaning supplies are always there and very much

Thank you for the opportunity to comment.  As I said, we’ve used AirBnB in the past and have been very pleased, but just a couple of ideas.

Hi @Barbara3817

I provide all the above and more!

1. small, medium and large mugs

2. at least ten dishtowels

3. six sets of silverware in a two-adult listing

4. ditto crockery

5. two blankets and an electric blanket in the colder months!

I would be delighted to host you in Oxford UK 🙂

I'd recommend you also ask the host before booking, to check the amenities. And although guests can no longer filter searches by SuperHost, that's a good sign that the host will have thought of providing essentials for guests.

@Barbara3817 . Great comment and I agree with everything you mentioned.

As a host we have double the crockery for maximum capacity as a minimum. Even in our studio listing (max 2) we have 4 large mugs and 4 tea cups. Same for cutlery (often triple if you include steak knives) but always with extra tea spoons.

We find even the weekend stays appreciate home away from home facilities so thats tea towels/dishtowels, paper towels, cleaning up supplies. I've even had a guest at another listing mention after a stay that rubber gloves would have been handy so we added those (even though there was a dishwasher).

With bedding, extra blankets and throws because even Summer can turn cold suddenly.

Re steps, use the accessibility filter to choose or you can always contact the listing host with an enquiry about railings.

Although we are all different hosts I think you will find the higher rated ones are often more generous with their provisioning and thats often reflected in the ratings as well as review comments.

All the best.
