New Host Looking for Tips and Advice!

New Host Looking for Tips and Advice!

Hi everyone,

I’m new to the Airbnb community and just getting started as a host. I’m really excited to open my space to guests but also a little nervous about making sure everything goes smoothly.

I’d love to hear your tips and advice on creating a great experience for guests, managing bookings effectively, or handling unexpected situations. What are some lessons you’ve learned that you wish you knew when you first started hosting?

Also, if there are any must-read resources or threads here in the community, feel free to point me in the right direction! Looking forward to connecting and learning from this amazing community.

Thanks in advance!

Best,
Chris Wilson

Don’t expect any assistance from Airbnb. Unwarranted bad reviews will not be removed.

Ciao @Chris23217 ,

if I had to suggest just one thing to do before starting to host, I would say that you should make sure that everything is ready to go, everything, absolutely everything, both the house and the listing must be complete ... those who start well then have an easier time, especially on Airnbnb 😉

P.S. for example, put a photo on your profile 😉

Hey @Chris23217,

We are always a bit nervous when we start hosting but it really does get easier, the more guest stays you have under your belt.

If you have everything in place, you’ll be fine.

If you can- why not invite a friend to come and do a test run. Set your Airbnb up as you would if a guest was staying and tell them to give you an honest review (unpublished)
