Petty cleaning fee
Am I being petty? I asked for an additional $30 cleaning fee as my clean crew now has to come back a 2nd time and remove the fans from the effected area. They paid a pet fee, however I feel this fee is for removal of pet hair from pet blankets and furniture.

What are fans? If you are taking dogs I suggest you put a cover on your lounge. I don’t allow dogs in the bedrooms. Don’t ask for extra money.

You already have a $65 cleaning fee and a $25 Pet fee. I would not charge an addl fee to the guests.
I do suggest you raise your pet fee to $50-$75. That is what most Hosts charge and what most hotels charge for a pet.
It looks like your couch is suede-like or velvet? These are not good choices for couch material in an Airbnb; especially for one that allows pets.

Hello @Carmen2636 ,
I once had a guest whose child vomited on the rug. It took us an extra two hours to remove the stain. Just as I don’t reimburse guests who leave the place spotless, I also don’t charge extra if the cleaning takes a little longer. With cleaning, sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. I pay my cleaners per cleaning—sometimes it takes them less time, and sometimes it takes them more.
I charge 90 usd per pet per stay, which helps cover the additional cleaning involved with pets.

@Carmen2636. Yes Carmen, it does seem like you are splitting hairs on your definition of what a pet fee covers 😉
Considering you already have charged fees and looking at the pics I'd weigh up unexpected extra charges against guest reaction (which will flow into your reviews and future guests).
Instead, I'd utilise couch throws and have them on at arrival- guests can take them off if they dont like but most will appreciate not having to worry about minor dirt and may not have read the cleaning section of your manual. Swap them out between pet and no pet stays rather than getting cleaners back. I too am not sure what "removing the fans from affected areas" means.
I also find the last pic's comment strange. What if they use the couch for other things? . Make love not war.
