Real Plants or Fake Plants: Which do you prefer for your listing?

Plants Airbnb.jpg

Hello, fellow plant lovers 🍃❤️

I just love having plants all around my house. Orchids in my office, Peace Lily in my living room, even a Senecio plant in my kitchen. It's just so relaxing and makes my home feel alive 🌿.

But, let's be honest, keeping them healthy and looking good can be hard work. That got me thinking, maybe some of us prefer to have fake plants that still make our homes look nice but require no maintenance.

So, what do you think? Do you like caring for real plants or do you prefer hassle free with fake plants? And if you have a favorite plant (fake or real), would you mind sharing a picture?

Can't wait to read your thoughts.

Only real plants for me. And if it's hard to maintain, I prefer no plants at all. Fake plants are sad to see.

Fake Plants over here. I host out of state and there’s no way I can keep up with taking care of real plants and it’s also more work for my staff. I have all fake plants in the interior and exterior of my property and they still look beautiful and complete the space perfectly. I am very picky with the plants I buy though. They do have to look very realistic, so I don’t mind  paying extra for good quality faux plants.

Hello @Vilmaris0 I have to admit, I would love to see some of your plants. I bet some high-quality fake plants would make the place look amazing. Please feel free to share some pictures if you're up for it 🌿.

Wow @Vilmaris0 That looks so beautiful 😍🍃! The combination of colours is great, and the plant is a perfect detail for the environment. It makes everything look very elegant and relaxing. Do you also use plants in the living room?

We don’t have space in the living room but we do have another Faux Leaf Tree in the breakfast nook area, just like the one in the bedroom.

@Vilmaris0 These are beautiful and go perfectly with your decor!

I'd have to go with real! Even if maintenance is challenging, there are always options out there: Succulents, air plants, etc. are a few.

Whoever cleans the property surely has under 5 minutes a week to water plants! I go 10 days for the air plants too.

Hi @Suzanne962Amazing 😊! I'm curious about air plants too. Have you heard about the one called Pink Quill? It looks really nice for indoor use. Are there any others that you would recommend?

Real plants for sure, but faux ones in bathrooms for longevity!

The real thing!  It's easy for me as I take care of our rental on the farm. I also do fresh flower cuttings in the summer. In the winter, I arrange fresh flowers from the grocer.  If you are worried about higher upkeep, then go with succulents or no plants at all.

There is nothing worse than dusty fake plants!

Hey @Jules155, lovely to hear from you. I also adore fresh flowers. In fact, spring and summer are absolutely breathtaking seasons in British Columbia. We have tulips in April and March, peonies in May and June, lavender until July, and sunflowers until September. Unfortunately, I don't have my own farm, so I always get them from the grocer. Here, I'm sharing the latest ones I bought, and I would love to see some of yours. 🌻🌷
