Rug under the dining table

Do you use a rug under your dining room table?

I love the look but shares break quickly due to no traction and it is hard to clean the food spills.

@Inna22  No rug.  Food and liquids that are not cleaned up as soon as possible will ruin the floor underneath and have lingering odors.  With quick guest turn-arounds, shampooing the rug and having it dry enough would be impossible.
