Hi, we are having some challenges with cleaning our airbnb. We live in California and our place is in North Carolina. We are wondering about Turno and if hosts have used this service and what the reviews are on this app?

@Cheri425 My housekeeper uses the Turno App to keep track of the multiple homes that she cleans. She likes it very much, as the App alerts her to new bookings/cleaning dates and the homeowner can enter cleaning tasks and routines that she can then follow. She can also message owners about extra cleaning needs or about items that have been damaged or need replacement.
However, for me, the app is too much bother...it is nice that it alerts my housekeeper that a cleaning is needed on a particular day, but it messages me non-stop prior to the cleaning day, on the cleaning day and after the cleaning day if my housekeeper has not gone into the app and acknowledged the cleaning and completed it. I can pay her through the app, but I would rather not -- I have PayPal for my cleaners and handymen.
I am not sure how the app works if you do not have a dedicated housekeeper or housekeeping team. If your housekeeper cannot do a cleaning, it supposedly puts out a message to other cleaners in the area who then message you that they can clean and you have to acknowledge their service. Do they show up? I don't know. Do they perform the cleaning according to the directions you have entered into the app? I don't know that either.
Take my statements with an eye to my being older and not all that interested in having to use and learn App after App to run my rental properties. If it works for you, great! Use it!. I have it only because my housekeeper likes it and asked me to accommodate her, which I was happy to do as she is priceless.

Hi @Cheri425,
It looks like a lovely location, what are your favourite things to suggest guests do in or near Washington park?
In addition to Lorna's insights, I'll mention a few other hosts who have mentioned Turno in the past: @Wendy1987 @Dianne393 @Patrice513 @Jacob805 what has been your experience with this app?
Thank you everyone 🙂
Emilie
