To change a phone number

When I type my new phone number in my "Details" I receive the verification code, I enter it and I get a message as this phone number is already used.

And it is not recorded. My old phone number remains.

Log out from Airbnb >Clear your web history/ browsing date/ cached and cookies > 

Open Chorme> log in to Airbnb 

Or 

Open new window log in to Incognito  Tab> log in Airbnb web
