Toilet paper roll

Should the toilet paper be changed to a full roll for a new guest or use the half used toilet paper roll? What is the etiquette on this? On one hand I don't want to offend the guest, but on the other I don't want to be wasteful. Or should I just get a bidet and give them something to write home about.

The correct way to use toilet tissue is to gently wipe from front to back (especially important for women to avoid transferring bacteria) using an appropriate amount of tissue to clean thoroughly. Fold the tissue as needed to maximize usage and repeat until clean. Dispose of used tissue in the toilet (if flushable) or a waste bin, depending on local plumbing rules. Always wash your hands thoroughly afterward.

I used to change them every time, however, I now fold the first sheet as a triangle and wet it with the sink (water not flowing) just to stamp it. Hope it helps!
