For those of you who either clean yourselves or provide supplies, what is your go to vacuum cleaner?
Shark Ultra Light Pet Vacuum. Has a beater bar for carpets, bare floor setting, and a canister that can be emptied after every use.

Hoover cordless vacuum cleaners are great. Don't risk tripping on wires. Light weight which is perfect for the stairs. Has different attachments which you can take apart and wash down.
A Dyson(cordless) is perfect but expensive. Otherwise an alternative is a Henry hoover, solid, durable and does a great job. Just be mindful of the cables.
Yes you can buy a good vaccum cleaner and I like Karcher brand from Germany.
We use a Black n Decker cordless as wires are a nuisance
Hi Inna,
Hope you are well.
I would personally suggest a cordless, lightweight, bagless handstick vacuum. cleaner. I myself have a Bosch one. It is for use mainly for the guests . I have the base fixed to the wall near a power outlet and it sits on charge all the time. It is easy to use and easy to clean. I also had a separate normal vacuum cleaner which was bagless too. I used to use it when I cleaned my Airbnb (but found the guests never used it) but now I have a wonderful co-host who looks after our property for us and she has her own equipment so I removed the normal vacuum but left the handstick one for the guests to use during their stay.

Penny
Good evening mam,
Greetings and best wishes from Muralidharan Mayoor vihar home stay Sulthaan Bathery Wayanad Kerala India.
We wish you all advance happy Christmas ⛄ a a peaceful and prosperous happy new year 🎊
My opinion is keeping a vacuum cleaner is a must in all the Airbnb home stays.
It will host and guest to clean the rooms as well as the guest vehicle.
So Airbnb should insist the host to add vacuum cleaner in their list.
Expected to grow with Airbnb.
Thanks and regards.
Shark ultra light pet hair as already mentioned. Not sure if they sell it in US though. Don't bother with Dyson. Overpriced rubbish which. The battery doesn't last long enough, doesn't suck hard enough and it will break within a year. They are good for a small apartment with a hard floor or very short pile carpet. For bigger homes you need a corded vacuum. Our cleaner prefers a good old Henry Hoover. Failing that you could always buy a cheap Vax hoover. They're pretty powerful but will probably last only a year or so. However you can buy three of them for the price of a Dyson. So...
I use the Henry hoover. Heavy and corded but does the job.
Hi Inna,
I would recommend a lite weight vacuum for guests to have handy like Smoture cordless vacuum cleaner. Then if you're going to be doing the cleaning yourself or if you are providing a vacuum for your cleaners, I would recommend the kenmore light weight vacuum

@Inna22 , we use a professional Shark vacuum. We have no stairs so the upright works for us.
Best
I purchased Shark vacuums from Costco for my properties. These are for the guests to use, and housekeeping is required to maintain them. I ask housekeepers to bring all their own tools as they are independent contractors.
