For those of you who either clean yourselves or provide supplies, what is your go to vacuum cleaner?
Hi @Dana225,
I know I'm a little late and this post is a couple months old but here's what I got!
So these might be on the pricy side of things but I have to say I LOVE THEM.
I live in the desert, so dust and sand, everywhere! I have a Dreame X30 Ultra robot vac with AI advanced cleaning to handle the everyday upkeep. It builds a floorpan of your house, shows the furniture layout, places the carpets and flooring types through out and allows you to update and edit that. You can set all kids of different cleaning settings to customize it, and then let it clean the whole home, specified zones, or just one room if you need. it can be controlled from you phone locally, or remotely, so you can start it cleaning as soon as you guests checks out even when your not at the property. It's a beast! It vacuums AND mops. Not only that but it has extendable arms that reach out under the base of cabinets and furniture to get under and around everything, plus it cleans its own mop pads!! The new one that just came out, X40 Master, even had an auto refill and empty feature where you don't have to empty it or anything, I'm not ready but when I get a new one, it will be whatever the newest dreame robot is! You can also customize the schedule for when guests would like cleaning done while they stay so it helps maintain the property, I personal have it run everyday unless the guest requests otherwise.
I also have a Dyson V8 Animal Stick Vac. It's great for cleaning upholstery, vacuuming your mattress (yes I said it, if you haven't done it, take those covers off and do it!), drapery, dusting shelving....so many things. They Dyson brand also is very well know and recognized by guests as a "High end" item.
My final piece to the arsenal is my Bissell Revolution HydroSteam Pet. It's a Steam cleaner like none other. If you have lots of carpet or area rugs this will change your life, it gets everything out, (even the stuff you didn't know was there). It has become a once a quarter task for me. It also steams tile flooring and makes the grout look brand new! There is also an upholstery attachment to steam clean your upholstery, drapery, and softgoods.
Hope this helps, I know they are all on the expensive side, but I've had the Dyson over 6 years now and it still like its brand new, so I think they are worth the investments!

Thank you, Philip! I think you are right about investing in a good vacuum like a Dyson. I appreciate the response. 🙂
Hi Inna,
I have only been doing this for 5 years but have gone through now three Dyson cordless vacuums. It's almost always a battery issue... I seem to have a love-hate relationship with them. I would not recommend them at least as a long-term investment.
I am so glad you asked this question because I know I will likely need another one soon.
Kindest regards,
Jamie
Hey @Jamie600 ,
I’m sorry to hear your issues with your Dyson. Just some info to help you troubleshoot.
Reasons for battery issues:
-natural battery degradation over time
-frequent use of high power modes (like Max)
-improper storage conditions
-extreme temperatures
-a dirty filter causing increased strain on the motor
-physical damage to the battery
-reaching the end of its expected lifespan (4-5 years)
the biggest I’ve seen is the filter issue. Most people clean the main chambers but do not fully clean the filter and filter chambers.
this video is awesome and shows how to fully clean it, I had never gone through all these steps before but it does amazing things to help your vacuum.
I stand by the Dyson and usually grab whatever the latest model is +The Allstate insurance option. Their batteries are horrendous but with heavy use you're almost guaranteed to get a replacement or a new battery over the course of a few years.
@Inna22. My cleaners use a backpack corded one (no idea of brand). If I have to clean I use either the Bosch which stays at one of the listings (corded with bag, hardly used). Or I bring my Miele Pet with Turbo boost (corded bagless). Works great on cat hair or long hair dogs.
Most of the time I'm getting rid of the sand though 😉
A ja polecam odkurzacz pancerny i nie drogi ,prosty w obsłudze Amica VM 1035 Dobry dla każdego . Goście też nie mają problemu z obsługą. 😉

And I recommend an armored, inexpensive, easy-to-use Amica VM 1035 vacuum cleaner. Good for everyone. Guests also have no problem with service. 😉

When selecting a lightweight, multi-surface vacuum with powerful suction, your budget will significantly determine the ideal choice. We recommend the BISSELL PowerForce Compact Bagless Vacuum, model 2112 for an efficient and affordable option. Known for its reliability and performance, this vacuum effectively handles various surfaces while remaining easy to maneuver, making it a practical choice for most households.
After 10 years of trial and error, I've now landed on the Ryobi One+ brushless motor Stick cordless bagless vacuum. Just one vacuum that everyone, including me, guests and cleaner uses.
Everything else just got too much to manage, including corded vacuums and bag vacuums to maintain for guests and for us, and cleaners, so just one vacuum!
A little heavy, but it works well in my large 6 bedroom house with carpet and hard flooring. Can unplug the stick and lift it up to go into ceiling corners for spiderwebs etc.
We have spare batteries that swap out with a charger so it doesn't need 'plugging in' to charge because of the Ryobi One+ battery system. Also got the Ryobi blower to blow the leaves etc away with same compatible charger.
Separately have a cheap steam cleaner thats good for upholstery. It's probably not big enough to do the carpets unfortunately as the carpets take a beating.
Whilst I'd love to have a robot vacuum (have one in my own house), it's not really guest friendly to use as guests will often want to clean up mess as they go (we have firewood coming in for the fireplaces).
Hope this helps regs MK
