Welcome Gifts for Guests

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering how many of you have gifts to welcome guests - especially now with the economic pressure that Covid and other circumstances.

My husband and I own 'Quixotic Gifts' based in the western lake district (UK)

We supply holiday homes with our hamper/gift boxes which include handmade items; soap, candle, lip balms and body butters. We sell these to holiday homes at £12 per hamper and they retail for £24.99

We find guests really appreciate them and give more positive feedback for having such a gift waiting for them.

Would this or something similar be something you would consider doing for your listing or do you feel it is not financially sustainable?

Thank you for your feedback and help!

@Chanelle9   Generally speaking, advertising is not allowed in this forum.  However, in answer to your question, some hosts do baskets, some don’t.  There are just so many variables such as type of property, nightly price etc.  I have noticed that if a welcome basket is provided, it quite often contains products which are local to that particular Airbnb.  Personally we do not provide one as we find that although guests do appreciate them, they often contain items that the guest would not necessarily buy themselves.  We therefore feel, particularly in these challenging times, that it is better to keep our prices a bit lower.
