What brand chairs do you use?

Chairs are so expensive and seem to be number one item to break. I have switched to inexpensive Wayfair chairs but they get loose every 3-4 stays and need to be tightened and then break in about 6-12 months. At least they are cheap. The only chairs that last are the Restaurant depot/Jetro metal diner chairs with cushions but they are so unattractive.

In India, We get the Chairs and Sofa made to order by Carpenter.  They Last at least 5 years.

@Inna22   ditto.  I tried wayfair but they don't last and screws come loose constantly.  Same with chairs from Home Depot but depends on the brand.  Ordering 4 new chairs from Macy's now, we'll see.

Pottery Barn makes sturdy chairs but expensive.

In America at least, the people have gotten heavier and the chairs have gotten flimsier.  Bad combo.

For some inexplicable reason, guests love to move furniture around, even move indoor furniture outside and leave it there.  This puts additional stress on chairs.

If you can get lucky and find old chairs at a Thrift Store, made when things were built to last, this can be a great way to go.

If you go with the low-med price chairs, plan to replace every 1-2 years.

Good luck!

@Dave52 yes, exactly my experience. I have no idea why they have the need to move things around. Normally, I try to watch for a trend (like if everyone turns a couch, maybe it should just be turned). It all seems to be random though. And unfortunately no one admits to anything so then I scramble to replace. Let me know how Macy's chairs work out!

What do you think of the replies from our hosts?
