I hope you're all doing well. I wanted to start a conversation about something we all deal with; storage in our homes, but I want to hear about your clever storage solutions in your listings! 

What creative storage solutions do you use in your listings? It can be tricky to maximise space without sacrificing style. Whether it’s clever shelving, under-bed storage, or multifunctional furniture, I’m sure we can all benefit from sharing our ideas. I make use of wicker baskets, and vintage tins for storing tings around my home. It helps me to declutter and makes cleaning a lot easier.

Our Venice bedroom

in Venice we put a so-called “magic” bed that opens by lifting the mattress and underneath there is a large space to stow sheets, pillows, linens, etc.

I LOVE a space saving bed - do you keep extras in there for guests to use, or is it solely for storage? We have big boxes underneath our that hold bedding and linens too! I spy the Venetian masks too - are they from Venice?

@Rebecca it is solely for storage ... and our Venetians masks are made in Venice (not China 😂)

Instead of bedside cabinets/table I use Ikea Skadis peg board system, clamped to the bed frame.  

Space for a book or a charging phone, no legs to clean around and keep an uncluttered look of space. Add the accessories to suit what you need.

Thanks, I was inspired by seeing hotel headboards with integral shelves, all fixed to the wall.

Made perfect sense to me to look at a way to recreate something similar, particularly  as I didn't want to loose usable space around the bed.

Hello Everyone,

My two Airbnbs are in my home.  One is a private bedroom and bath in my living area.  The other is in my walkout basement, a full apartment for short-term stays.  So, I have rearranged my linen closet to hold the sheets for the queen bed and twin beds, shower liners, bath rugs, extra pillows, and all the towels, because this is near my laundry room.  Then, in another closet, I store all my paper products, plastic silverware, and cups for the bedroom in my living space because I do not allow guests to use my kitchen.   In the apartment, I have the lower part of an armoire to hold cleaning liquids, extra bathroom supplies, paper towels, and bath tissue.  I'd love to have a space where it would all be accessed, unfortunately, that's not how my home is laid out.  I have a four-bedroom, three & 1/2 bath, and I was not using the space other than to store extra furniture and a guest room.  I've been fortunate that guests have not rummaged through my supplies and helped themselves.  I've been a host since 2016 when people were using their homes for Airbnb.

I won't be reorganizing unless I get a wild hair or my cleaning person comes up an idea.  We work well together.
