What makes your listing location truly special?
Hi everyone!
While booking for a stay, guests often look into the listing location — whether it's surrounded by scenic beauty (mountains or lakes), nearby local attractions or if your listing is located in the heart of the city.
I'm really curious to hear from our hosts — whether it's a stunning view, rich local culture, or hidden gems that only locals know about! What is special about your listing location?
Looking forward to reading your comments 😍
Kind regards,
Bhumika

What makes my listing truly special is the unforgettable experience it offers for families and friends. Guests often describe it as a "mini amusement park"—a fun, private retreat where everyone can relax and enjoy each other’s company. The spacious outdoor area, complete with a pool, allows guests to create lasting memories without even leaving the property. It’s peaceful, tucked away from the hustle, yet close enough to local attractions if you want to explore. Ultimately, it’s the perfect spot for making those little moments that matter most.

@Marcus566 Your listing looks so elegant and classy 👏
Haha, looking at the great number of amenities you offer, I am not surprised if guests describe it as a "mini amusement park" 😉
How did you come up with an idea to design a specific game room? It adds so much charm to your listing for sure 😍
How do you maintain and clean such a huge listing that offers so much? 😅 Have you hired a cleaning service? What is the usual guest turnover time/reservation gap you consider, to ensure the listing is ready for the next guest?

The appeal of my listing is that it is in Silver Lake, one of the most popular neighborhoods in Los Angeles, which is an urban oasis of great cafes, bakeries, restaurants, bars & unique shops but also has the contrast of an oasis of nature due to our hills and canyons with a reservoir, meditation park, dog park and secret staircases. Our neighborhood was a favorite area for architects of the 1950’s & 60’s to build innovative homes, which draws pedestrians from other neighborhoods as well as organized tour events. My listing in particular is additionally attractive due to the unusually large size (for city standards) of our land, which affords more gardens, privacy and a large pool. Guests always comment on how peaceful returning to our property is after a day of exploring a bustling, fast-paced, energetic city.

@Moritz137 , it's so amazing to read on this thread — of the unique locations and listings our hosts have to offer on Airbnb.
Your listing sounds like the perfect blend of city life and peaceful retreat! I noticed that you already have listed an elaborate guidebook for your guests? Do they appreciate the guides?
Do you often have repeat guests (guests who love to come back for a stay). Do you offer any special discounts or facilities to such repeat guests ? 😉

What is special about my area is that the property backs onto a dormant volcanoe mountain and it is walking distance to all kinds of walking trails on the mountain. It is also a short walk to our vibrant little town of Summerland with many antique shops. We also have a beautiful view of Okanagan Lake and beaches are only a 5 minute drive away.

OMG @Tina-And-Richard1 ! You've got some stunning views around your listing 😍
With all the trails, mountains and antique shops near your listing — have you prepared a 👉guidebook for guests 👈 on what all they can explore during their stay?
Do you have any favorite photo of the view around your listing?

Guests are always surprised that the county (Lincolnshire) that we are located in actually has hills! Its renowned for being flat! We're located in the gently rolling and tranquil Lincolnshire Wolds. The countryside is sparsely populated, unspoiled and quiet which is what seems to make it special especially for city-dwellers.
Guests have their own fenced in garden with views over fields and often see deer and hares, and have the odd hedgehog wander through the garden. They love the sound of the owls and other birds, and the on a clear night the starry skies due to a lack of light pollution.
And then of course, they love the Shepherds Hut itself. Its quirky, cosy and comfortable and we've actually just been nominated by the Lincolnshire Life Magazines Taste of Excellenc Awards for being in the 10-best self-catering units in the county!

WOW @Debbie1190 , Congratulations on your well deserved nominations. Keep us posted of the results🎉 Wishing you all the best for that!
I had a look at your listing photographs and everything is absolutely gorgeous 😍 Did you hire a professional photographer to get such high quality listing photos? They've definitely done a great job 😉
What do you think attracts guests the most? Is it the nature around your listing or the cozy charm of the Shepherd Hut? 😍

Thank you very much!!!
I took the photos myself.
And I think that guests enjoy a combination of the rural landscape and the comfort and charms of the Hut. We're in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty and I think it surprises people every time if they don't already know the area.

All the photos certainly capture the essence and beauty of what your listing has to offer. Kudos to you 🌻
Did you design the exterior/back yard yourself too? You've added amazing elements to make it look attractive 👏
I really like the corner seats with colorful cushions 😍

Aw thank you for that!!! I did do all the designing and lot of the implenting - it is quite a high maintenance garden but the guests love it - I've now lots of roses and they give off a beautiful aroma... I do enjoy welcoming people and seeing them enjoying it all. It makes all the hard work worthwhile. I've met some lovely 'Airbnber's' along the way!

@Debbie1190 I know right! Maintaining the gardens, especially during the ever-changing seasons must be very time consuming. How do you manage garden maintenance? Do you have a specific schedule to ensure the garden remains in a great shape?
Roses sound like a great addition to the garden 🌹 Do share a picture with us if you'd like😍 we remain curious!
Do guests often compliment you for how wonderfully you've decorated the listing?
