Something I’ve noticed from the conversations in this community, is how every home seems to have one feature that really makes it stand out. It’s not always the biggest or most obvious thing, but often the detail that gives a space its character and makes it feel unique.
My favourite feature of my own home, is my bright, buttercup yellow front door, with a stained glass sunrise. 💛
I’d love for you to share what that is for your own place. In your opinion, what do you see as the “star” of your home? And just as importantly, what’s the story behind it and why does it feel so special to you?
I have a hand painted full moon on the wall and with a black light it glows at night (if people want) of course the hot tub, sauna and views are a hit too!
My house is traditional cottage style on the outside with a large garden and walking distance to the most beautiful beaches, that would make you think you were in the Caribbean instead of a Scottish island
Scotland has some of the most beautiful beaches I've seen @Jennifer5302 and this one is no different. As you're on an island - further than Skye- how easy is it for your guests to get to you? Do you live on the island too?
@Rebecca I don't live on the island but the house was my husband's mother's house when she was growing up. The house is on the island Vatersay and to get to it you have to get a ferry from the mainland to Castlebay in Barra, then drive to Vatersay which is about 15 minutes. The ferry from the mainland takes about 5 hours
