Good afternoon everyone 😊,
Spring cleaning is the perfect time to breathe new life into your listing and your guests' experience.
Start by decluttering, and don’t forget to dust those places you often skip, like ceiling fans and baseboards. Clean your windows to let in more sunshine, and give your appliances a deep clean—wipe down the fridge, oven, and microwave. Freshen up your soft furnishings by washing curtains, cushions, and even rugs.
What’s on your ultimate spring cleaning checklist?
Share it below!
Have a great day,
Elisa 🌻

Hi @Elisa Thank you for your advice. I will definitely do a deep cleaning on a nice spring day after my current guest checks out. Greetings from Türkiye
Hi @Erva-Apart0 😊,
Thank you for sharing this here!
Which tasks will you prioritize for the deep cleaning?
Warm regards 🌻,

It usually takes my wife and I a few days to do it properly. We combine cleaning with basic maintenance (like checking baking sofa in fridge, and making sure HVAC filter is good)
Here’s a list we made (no specific order):
I also have a more detailed list of areas that can accumulate grime, such as the small gaps around the oven, which I can share later.
Hi @Dilraj3 😊,
Thank you so much for participating here!
I'm impressed, this is such a good list. 😍 Do you keep it on paper or on your phone/computer?
Is someone helping you with these tasks?
Warm regards 🌻,

It is my wife and I that do it together.
We have a process/system that we follow in order that's optimized for our house. We have it in a Google Docs file and then we have screenshots of the system.
Hi @Dilraj3 😊,
Thank you so much for letting me know!
Would you like to share this process with the community? I think our hosts would find it really useful.

This is so detailed.
I will type it up as a tick list.
Thank you for sharing.
Hi @Robyn555 😊,
Welcome to the conversation!
What about you, do you have a spring cleaning checklist?
Warm regards 🌻,

@Elisa no I don't. Some the things on the above list I do regularly like disinfection of most touch points. I try to minimise what is in ea h room though and seasonal dust tops of fans and high cupboards. I manage to get water drift on windows so so them when I think they need cleaning. I hope having the list above helps me not miss things. I noticed I missed the dust on bottom of towell rack recently so we do miss things.
Hi @Robyn555 😊,
Thank you for letting me know!
You have so much going on, having a list definitely helps to keep track of everything.
Are you planning to create one after this?
Warm regards 🌻,

I will make a list and laminate it
@Elisa This is my first Airbnb listing. My spring cleaning for my investment properties are similar to how I take care of my personal home. I follow a simple approach is to start from inside the home to outside the home. Go over each room, remove items which are no longer used, organize items to present clean look. I also research and add items to the room based on customer favs. I am still figuring out how I can engage outside help to maintain the landscaping.
Hi @Murali33
Thank you for sharing this here!
This is a very interesting approach.
What items have you removed recently that are no longer used in your property?

Hi @Elisa ,
Good lists - thanks for the topic. Here's some items we have on our annual list, that aren't necessarily run-of-the-mill:
- touch up/finish exterior furniture for the season: includes painting, teak oiling, general fix its.
- re-finish wood cutting boards - this is a fun one as it is very satisfying and the results are always so great! Hand sander, some cutting board oil and turns out just like new.
- re-finish scratched stainless steel stovetop surface - learned how to do this about a year ago and it is a game changer. Similar to the cutting board, sand the surface with stainless steel appropriate sanding (see internet tutorials), apply stainless steel shine product.
- power wash exterior patio and walkway
- wash all the screens!
