Spring cleaning is the perfect time to breathe new life into your listing and your guests' experience.

Start by decluttering, and don’t forget to dust those places you often skip, like ceiling fans and baseboards. Clean your windows to let in more sunshine, and give your appliances a deep clean—wipe down the fridge, oven, and microwave. Freshen up your soft furnishings by washing curtains, cushions, and even rugs.

We pressure washed the house & sidewalks to remove insect dwellings, moss & algae growth, dirt and the like. Also, clean the gutters where plants are growing!   Keeping the house clean inside & outside, improving curb appeal and making the stay more pleasant.

Nice and helpful topic for all of us! So many things have been mentioned that I will be also making a new list!

- lightly wash interior walls with a damp cloth. I do this step twice and it takes me a while but afterwards feels like I have painted the walls again

- I deep clean the washing machine, do a full round with Dettol cleaner, open the filter to remove anything stuck there, remove baskets and thoroughly wash them 

- Since I love a spotless bathroom, I would only add that I throw a tablet inside the toilet bowl before each guest arrives so they have blue water with every flush of the toilet

At our property, cleanliness is essential to creating a pleasant environment for our guests, regardless of the season. Here's our cleaning routine that keeps the space fresh and welcoming year-round:

Daily Maintenance:
Our dedicated housekeeper ensures that even the minor cleaning tasks are done every day. This includes wiping down surfaces, freshening up the bathroom, and ensuring everything is in place for our guests.

Floor Cleaning:
We regularly wash the floors, especially due to the humid climate. The floors are mopped daily to maintain cleanliness and prevent dust build-up, using eco-friendly products to keep the environment safe and fresh.

Deep-Cleaning Tasks:
Clean and sanitize kitchen appliances.
Wash and replace bed linens and towels regularly.
Deep clean the bathrooms, including grout lines and around the sink.
Dust and wipe down light fixtures, furniture, and window sills.

Seasonal Focus (Rainy & Dry Seasons):
During the monsoon season, we pay extra attention to any moisture buildup in the rooms and ensure good ventilation. In the dry season, we clean the windows thoroughly to maximize the natural light and fresh air that comes in.

@Elisa These are tips I also use in my own home but I honestly can't remember where I picked them up! Probably a mix of things I learned over the years from my mom, our housecleaner, and the internet. I’ve now added a few more from the list other hosts shared. 🙂
