photographer based in north California

Hi everyone! 👋

I'm Lucia,  a newly onboarded Airbnb photographer based in north California, I've signed the contract, have MediaBox access, and I’m fully ready to begin taking assignments.

My gear setup includes:

– Sony A7R III 

– 11–16mm wide-angle lens

– 24–70mm f/2.8 Art lens

– Godox V1 flash for interior lighting

– DJI Mini 2 drone.

– iPad.

– Starlink Mobile. 

I'm currently covering the northcal area and I’d love to connect with fellow photographers or hosts. I’m open to tips, leads, or general advice on *how to start receiving assignments more regularly.

Hi @Lu205 

Airbnb asks those using its community not to use to promote commercial services including photography.

There maybe a local photography group you can join . And nothing to stop you setting up your own website and social media and investing in targeted advertising to reach hosts in your area.

Airbnb allocate photographers to hosts. We have no control on who's allocated.

Thanks for your reply and insights, I really appreciate the clarification.

Just to be clear, I’m not trying to promote anything here. I’m an official Airbnb photographer and just wanted to say hi, connect, and learn from others in the community. I do have a website and socials where I share my work, but I totally get that Airbnb handles all the assignments directly.

This is a community for hosts and guests who use the accommodation platform .

it sounded as if you were here to promote your business as you said you were looking for leads to receive assignments more regularly and wanted to connect with hosts.

I already clarify my true intention with my message wich is conect and learn from host and creative. My original languaje is spanish, I'm new in this platform. If the msg doesn't follow the guidelines i can delete it, no worries at all and thanks again for the heads-up.

I'm just trying to help you understand this isn't the best platform for you to achieve your aims  as we are a community which discusses issues relating to Airbnb as a host or as a guest.

Good luck with your photography business . Maybe suggest to Airbnb they set up a community for photographers?
