"Verified Badge" Why isn't it on my listing?

Back in June, I agreed to do a zoom meeting with Airbnb reps in India, of my unit, so I could receive the "Verfied" badge on my listing. It was supposed to boost my listing because the unit has been "verified" meaning that all the amenities I listed are in the unit AND the unit looks just like it does in the pictures.

Two months later, I still don't have the badge! Does anyone know why?

Hi Maia,

just checking since this post is quite old if you have ever received the 'badge'?

We have 2 listings - one for close to 6 years which was automatically verified by Airbnb (we've received an email on April 1st, 2024) stating that the listing has been verified based on reviews etc.

Great. Automatic, easy.

We also have another listing that is fairly new - only little over a year and in April we've had only about 60-70 reviews (as it's also listed on other platforms thus the reservations are split in between).

We are Super Host, Guest Favorite, Top 1% with 95 5star reviews BUT the listing is NOT verified.

Depending on whom I spoke, they either confirmed that yes the 'verification badge' does effect the algorithm and your placement in the search as the property/listing is higher 'valued' as verified OR some would claim that it has no bearing on the placement... (which I don't beleive)

Regardless, I'm a member of several social medial Airbnb hosts and guests sites and majority of guests clearly state that they feel much more confident selecting a property WITH the verified listing badge than without it - which is a no brainer.

Thus regardless of who is right or wrong (whether the badge effect the search placement) guests will less likely book a place that is not verified which at the end of the day still effects our listings!

The last time I have contacted Airbnb about this was in May 2024 and after many useless calls and communications I have given up 😞

I was told that I have to wait that 'eventually' my listing will be verified...

Some hosts have stated that they have received 'an email from Airbnb prompting them to complete the verification process'.

We've only received 1 email confirming the automatic verification on ONE of our listings.

Nothing on our 2nd listing.

With 2 Super Host accounts, 10 and 6 years respectively on Airbnb for each account and 4 properties total I would hope to get some assistance when needed...

If you did get it done, can you please share with me some insights. How?

Thank you!!

Have a Fantabulous Day!!
