We believe in a world where anyone can belong anywhere. That’s why we’re so excited to announce that Airbnb is now available in 31 new languages. From Albanian to Zulu, we’re taking further steps to help everyone feel welcome on Airbnb, no matter what language they speak.

Doubling our language offerings not only helps create a stronger sense of belonging—it also opens the door to even more potential guests. As we expand our support to a total of 62 languages, we also wanted to thank you for continuing to welcome people from different cultures and backgrounds. We know it’s hosts like you who keep our community growing and thriving every day.

This is wonderful! Thank you for your hard work and in taking the initiative in improving our hosting. I realize adding each language takes effort. Question though, if I add a language to my listing  do I need to be fluent in it?

Is this automatic or must I do something to make it happen?  I love having folks from all over the world.

I am so proud of our AIRBNB company. They are attempting to do what no other company has ever done. This transition or movement to honoring multiple languages will take time and this initiative will undoubtedly aid us, as hosts, in improving our cross-cultural services and sensitivities. Thank you for valuing our input in helping us to feel the corporate value that, we belong, too!

I'm a host, and I would like to see Amharic(ethiopian official language) listened. There are over 2 millions families lives in the us and over 3 millions in Europe it is a huge market we need to exploit that.

Good job, Airbnb.

Is there an obligation to have exact or similar content in the pages. I know for example that public from Spain visiting my place in Argentina might be looking a for very diverse experiences as Spanish speaking people from say Latam?

Ps: everybody is welcomed, the point is not just translate the page but to personalise it for the type of experience than the region of provenance might indicate within the same language
