We are so excited to finally share Brian’s news about the Airbnb Host Advisory Board and Host Endowment today. I hope you’ve all received his letter by now.
This announcement marks a major milestone in our relationship with the host community. I have enjoyed meeting so many of you and reading your comments in the Community Center these last few months. It has made me realize how important it is to give hosts a seat at our table and an opportunity to be part of our company’s success.
Based on ongoing feedback, as well as recent workshops where we have connected with over 3,000 of you, these programs are intended to support the host community now and for generations to come.
I couldn’t be happier to be sending this note. We’ve worked hard to make progress this year, listening and addressing some of your top concerns. We know we still have work to do, but this announcement is a significant step in deepening our partnership with you.
I imagine you have questions, and we’ve prepared a guide to the programs here. You can also feel free to respond to this message and we’ll get back to you as quickly as we can.
I look forward to this new chapter in our partnership—and to introducing our Host Advisory Board members later this year.
Take care of yourselves,
It is reported that AirBnB has now waded further into US politics. As a host this is concerning. We have guests around the world of all political stripes. This behavior by AirBnB is short sighted and not inclusive. Further it may jeopardize the support of representatives in states across the country. I would strongly prefer AirBnB respect diversity of thought and support ALL guests or hosts rather than pick sides in politics.
Also, regarding the relief grants or refunding of cancelled reservations due to covid 19, I’ve not received any follow up from AirBnB. Empty promises born out of panic?
