Hi everyone,
We haven’t had a game for a while, and I thought this one would be apt: in these times, we’re not travelling so much or so far, but what better opportunity to reminisce on our past adventures and have a bit of fun travelling virtually?
The name of the game here is to guess ‘where in the world’ the photo shows. It’s a cropped photo of a famous location… can you guess?
Whoever guesses correctly can then challenge us with a picture of their own to guess.
I’ll kick things off - I hope you enjoy 🙂
@Michelle53 You're sharp! I wanted something a little more esoteric, but the rules said it had to be famous...
I know those hooves @Ann72 @Michelle53... I'm pretty sure it's the bull (from Wall Street?) in New York City?
@Katie Nailed it! It's the Charging Bull a few blocks from Wall Street on Lower Broadway. Here's my pic of the whole thing. It's possibly my least favorite tourist attraction in NYC but it's famous 🙂
Whats your favourite attraction in NY Ann?
Mine was to stand in the exact spot where Meg Ryan found a Teddy Bear and lost her heart in 'Sleepless in Seattle'......
By the way Ann, do you recognise this??
Cheers........Rob
@Robin4 I don't know that - it's not in Prospect Park or Central Park or Battery Park, Riverside Park or Madison Square or Union Square. Or Carl Schurz Park or Fort Greene. And it's surprisingly small. I don't know any fountains in New York that are that small.
Did you know it's legal to jump into any NYC fountain on a hot day? Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald are famous for jumping into the one at Grand Army Plaza near the Plaza Hotel and setting the tone for the Jazz Age, but they weren't breaking any laws!
Now you really need to explain your obsession with the rude bits!
@Robin4 You and Ade went there on a boat!!! I remember now. I have been there but only a few times. All my guests go there though!
Ok how about this one @Emilia42 @Ann72 @Michelle53 @Robin4
I haven't cropped it as I'm not sure how obvious it is from this angle... let me know if you need a clue 😊
It's definitely a Buddhist temple, we saw a few in Vietnam.
Wouldn't be Borobudor in Java would it?
Cheers......Rob
