GAME: Where in the world?

Hi everyone, 

We haven’t had a game for a while, and I thought this one would be apt: in these times, we’re not travelling so much or so far, but what better opportunity to reminisce on our past adventures and have a bit of fun travelling virtually?

The name of the game here is to guess ‘where in the world’ the photo shows. It’s a cropped photo of a famous location… can you guess?

Whoever guesses correctly can then challenge us with a picture of their own to guess. 

I’ll kick things off - I hope you enjoy 🙂

@Emilia42   The Medici Fountain it is!  I photograph it every time I go to Paris.  This picture was from my last visit there, in October 2015.

You go there and click "Open a window somewhere in the world" and you're brought to someone's view, somewhere in the world!

@Katie  I have contributed my window!  It's dull as dishwater, but perhaps soothing to someone who misses being in a city.  I'm going to Maine tomorrow and plan to do another window from there!  Have you done one yet?

Love this! It's a horrible rainy day here in London, but I might well contribute mine if we get a sunny day soon. 

p.s. I think I'm addicted to looking out other people's windows, send help! 😂

I was working in the garden on my paving last Wednesday morning and I felt my vision starting to slip and I could not focus on anything! The next thing I knew my housekeeper Fran was calling an ambulance, she had got me inside, I had a seizure and was out to it for about 90 minutes and am still not aware of anything that happened in that couple of hours of my life. I spent a few days in hospital and am just now starting to get things here back on track again......hence my absence!

Would like to keep this thread going though.

Where is Ade?.......you have to be specific!

@Robin4   ROB!!!  Oh no, that's terrible!  I'm so glad you're okay!!!  Did they tell you you've got too much on your plate?  I hope you can get a little nursing help in so it's not all on you.  Ade needs you.

Hi Sandra, Fran wasn't here but she had been trying to get me on the phone for about an hour and when she couldn't get a response she took it on herself to come around and do a drive by. When she saw the car in the garage she decided to investigate a bit further. 

She has been a great help while Ade has been away in the east. 

Medico's will get on top of it, nothing there isn't a treatment for these days.

Great part about living in Australia Sandra, absolutely everything....ambulance transport, 2 x CT scans, great private room, best medical care you could ever wish for.....all free, not a cent to pay. What ever is wrong with me, the system will pay for, just as it would you or any other Australian.....we sure have a fantastic health system here!

You are right continent Sandra, wrong country but they do share a border. It's hard not to show any sort of image without identifying it!

@Robin4 I'm so sorry to hear that - I hope you're doing ok now? Scary stuff - so great that you have such a fantastic housekeeper, and you're right that the medical services are essential.

Hmmm so this pic is quite hard. I originally thought the text was in Latin, but on closer inspection it looks to be Catalan - is it in Cataluña, Spain by any chance? 🤓

@Katie @Robin4  I don't know where it is, but I know that Subirachs was a modern sculptor in the Barcelona area.
