Adding a new room to existing listing

Hello, I need to update my existing listing with an additional bedroom and bathroom. Where can I update the bedroom / bathroom counts that shows up in the listing summary? It currently shows the original 3bed/2 bath listing and it needs to be 4 bed / 3 bath instead. Help!

I already updated the text description to reflect the additional bathroom and bedroom and updated the guest count.

Hello @Boriana3 ,

If you are using the new listing editor, it is very easy: Go to Listings in the top menu, choose the listing (if you have one, it might skip this phase for you). Then, in Your Space, next to Photo Tour, there is a plus sign (+) where you can add a room or a space to your listing.

Don't forget to use good quality pictures. Wait for a sunny day and turn on all the light fixtures.

I hope this helps.

Thank you so much for this step-by-step, @Guy991

@Boriana3, have you tried this out? Did it work for you?

It does work but it now seems to be tied into the photo tour. The only way I can see to not use the photo tour is to move all of your photos out of the individual rooms but then that seems to remove the rooms. I just realized that for the last three weeks (after 0 reservations) that my listing said I had 0 bedrooms and 0 bathrooms!

Oh my god. I just figured this out and it said my two bed/two bath place had one of each! This is insane that it's tied to the way the software "reads" your photos. My bedroom and bathroom images look completely different! I'm sure I've lost many bookings because of this.

@Boriana3

You can stop using the photo tour using a work around. You must keep the Bedroom and Bathroom Rooms, as Airbnb uses those to populate your subtitle and Where You'll Sleep Sections:

Delete Photo Tour - Workaround

The workaround is that the tour will not work if there is not at least one photo in each room. If you move all the photos say out of the dining room to addl photos, the tour is "deleted." However, DO NOT remove photos from the bedroom(s) Room(s), or living room if you have a sofa bed there. This is because the system uses the "sleeping arrangements" and type of bed to populate your subtitle that shows the number of bedrooms. The system also uses the Bedroom Room to populate the "where you'll sleep" photos on the listing, so keep your photos in that room on the tour.

Then click the "All photos" at the top of the page and all your photos will appear in a grid. Simply drag and drop the photos where you want them to appear on the listing and in what order. Be aware Airbnb will continue to have pop-ups encouraging you to revert back to the photo tour. Simply say "No Thanks."
