I have moved all of my locks to direct connection with airbnb. I am now running into a problem attempting to connect a second Schlage account to my airbnb account. When I select connect lock then schlage it says "This lock is connected to another listing". I do not have the option to login to any other accounts or see any other locks. I have called into Airbnb and there customer service agents are not even able to understand the issue let alone actually fix it. I have attached a screenshot. Ultimately I just need to be able to login to more than 1 schlage account to access the other locks... PLEASE HELP 🙂
Some of the Hosts I work with use the Schlage Encode, but decided not to integrate it with Airbnb. Looks like you have 21 listings, so I see the advantage of doing that.
Be sure you are running the latest firmware on each lock. You have quite a few listings, so be sure you have chosen the correct property in the Schlage App when trying to connect. If you have a smart home hub, that can interfere with the connection.
Thats all I can think of...here is the Airbnb Help Article on connecting smart locks:
Connecting Your Smart Lock
Hi @Dylan109 , Joan has shared excellent advice to double check that your lock is connected to which listing. Does the article shared by Joan help?
I am also inviting a few hosts who mentioned using Schlage locks in similar discussions, to see if they have any specific guidance for you. Hi @Farah148 @Jennifer4854 @Dave-and-Deb0 @Frances3408 @Alistair-and-Jenny0 @Natalie1170 , could you please help us here with @Dylan109 's question about Schlage lock integration? Thanks in advance everyone!
On a side note, to understand the issue better have you also reached out to Schlage's Customer Support team?
Kind regards,
@Dylan109. Hi Dylan, can you please clarify: are you just trying to add another listing's lock or do you wish to run with multiple Schlage accounts (covering multiple listings) at the same time under your Airbnb host profile?
What does it says when you click on How to add a different lock? The Airbnb help guide advice is limited.
The only other thing I can think of is to contact Schlage Help as they must have worked with Airbnb on this integration and maybe are aware of any issues like this.
I dont have the option to integrate here yet but would be interested if you can share more on this issue as I too run multiple listings with often concurrent booking dates so access to multiple locks at the same time BUT under the one Schlage account is my preferred option.
did you ever figure this out ? I’m having the same issue
Guessing....but perhaps you go to your Schlage App on your phone and be sure to select the lock you actually want to add before trying to connect it.
What happens when you click the "How to Add a Different Lock" (see screenshot)?
I am having the same exact problems. I only have this one entrance for my airbnb but I have multiple different bedrooms for rent. The Schlag lock can hold many many different codes so I don’t know why it can only link to one listing.
I believe this is why most Hosts who rent multiple rooms only have the one Schlage smart lock on the front door and use an interior keypad lock on the individual rooms (they can have different codes).

Hi @Jenny1855 , do you think Joan's tip might help your listing situation? I'd love to hear what you think!

But then it’s still not fully automated @Joan2709 . The host has to create a code for the main Schlage lock and give it out manually to guests. Even if it’s just for the front door. They still have to add give and remove that lock with every guest. I understand the having a different pad lock on each bedroom but you still have the one front entry door.
No...it IS fully automated.
You can integrate the main lock on front door (any Schlage Smart Lock or Yale Smart Lock- US/Canada Only currently) with Airbnb and Airbnb will automatically generate a different code for every guest. Even if you have multiple, different guests in different rooms in the home at the same time, they all should receive a different code automatically generated by Airbnb that works on the front door lock only for the dates/times of their stay. Most smart locks allow up to 100 different codes at any given time. You don't have to do anything manually.
We don't do Home Share Listings, but the above should work.
This also enables you to track who is using their code to enter/leave via the front door in the App on your phone and even remotely open/lock the front door if you wish. All the smart locks have an auto-lock feature as well (usually after 1-10mins) that automatically locks the door after a certain time frame. However, we have found this a bit of a nuisance as many guests don't close the door firmly and when it tries to autolock, the lock jams.

Manual Locks - Interior Doors
You would still need manual locks on the interior bedroom doors. You create a different code for each bedroom. Then supply the appropriate code to the guest that will be staying in that bedroom in the check-in message.
