Advice on responding positively to a review

Hello Community! Recent guests gave us a very positive review, and we would like to thank them for their kind words.

Could you please review my review of another recent guest?

Although she left a glowing review, the only concern I have is her mention of feeling unsafe on the streets outside of the Airbnb -- she also said the area seemed unsafe, but in fact it is very safe since I live on the street myself and know most of the neighbors. In case any future guests stay in the area, they should understand that it is in fact very safe.

Would my review be removed, or would it scare off potential guests? Hopefully not! I would appreciate any feedback you have before I post it.

"Guest, you and your family are welcome back at any time. You are among the most courteous and friendly guests we have ever had. You were all so kind and considerate and are grateful for guests were like you!

Thanks to your feedback during your stay, we have made even more upgrades since then, including interior and exterior upgrades, and a newly installed automatic gate. Hopefully, you will stop by again to experience our improvements!

It means a lot to us that you would write such a detailed review noting all of the extra efforts we made before and during your stay - referring to us as exceptional and one of the best hosts you've ever encountered is so heartwarming. Our efforts to achieve and maintain superhost status are based on placing ourselves in the shoes of our guests.

In terms of the stay, communication tends to be an important factor as we want everyone to have a great time. Thank you kindly for pointing out

Our specific neighborhood of Little River is quite diverse and it sounds like you were able to explore different parts as well. Fortunately, our street is very safe, well lit, and mostly occupied by elderly couples and families with children.

With our stay being in a predominantly residential area, we wanted to create a peaceful oasis that was away from the busy city life, but still close enough to be visited. Hearing that you forgot about the world outside during your stay is extremely positive feedback. Next time, check out Imperial Moto Cafe, our favorite coffee shop only a 10-minute walk away!

Once again it was a pleasure serving you all. Thank you very much for your glowing review"

@Breez19 My only comment is that your response is far too long. Strangely your views are also exceptionally long but that is no reason to add even meow words for potential guests to read.

Why not just 'Thank you for your review, Our neighbourhood is actually very friendly and I am sorry that you did not feel safe outside the property'

Hello @Mike-And-Jane0 -- I like your response as it is short and to the point. I guess I was just trying to express to them and future guests that we do listen to guests' comments. In addition, I wanted future guests to know that the neighbors and neighborhood is very safe, even safe enough for me to live there myself.

@Breez19 Perhaps you could trim it down just a bit. The danger with wordy missives is that people will not read them, whether review, response, or what have you.

@Colleen253 this is a great point and good to know. Thank you as well!

Hi Breez, it’s hard not to take a review so personal, focus on the positive. Mention your security system/ features you  may have, or will get and  add that you have a  neighborhood watch program and your neighbors  are involved with each other. They like your place already, so just add your security features  in your profile. Good Luck.
