I am using the latest Airbnb iOS app (22.45.1) and noticed that although we recently completely updated the photos for my property listing, only the first 5 new images are show in the search result thumbnail views. What’s even worse is not only does the remaining 25 images are all old photos that no longer exists on my listing, they are also displayed in the wrong order. Now my property looks so messed up with those out of order photos. We updated the Photos because we recently completely updated the furniture and decorations and hence did a new photo shoot and got a brand new set of photos. Due to this iOS app bug, customers will actually see a degraded experience, which completely defeats the purpose of our hard work to update the property.
I noticed the property’s detail page does show all the new photos, however the search result hold onto previously downloaded images for a long time. Why the Airbnb app makes such a false assumption that property photos won’t be updated? This bug hurts the booking of my property and if not fixed, will affect many listings in a similar situation as mine. Can Airbnb fix this iOS app at their earliest convenience please? I am really disappointed seeing how it affects my listing
@Bhumika all the visual representation of the bug is already provided in https://tinyurl.com/Airbnbiosbug and let me explain it again:
1) The issue is search results shows incorrect non-exist photos for a listing, if the same listing shows up in the search result of iOS app both before and after updating listing photos.
2) As an example, the listing with this problem is https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/693263411656536863. The link has all the correct photos
3) Now in the search result of the iOS app, one may see these photos show up for the above listing: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1It-JdbnGC4VcU89OgUhvucORp-5tO4VE?usp=share_link
Now contrasting the photos from 3) and 2), one can clearly see none of the photos from 3) actually exist in the listing, which is because 3) are obsolete photos. Notice the specific triggering condition for this bug is listed in 1). And steps to trigger that condition (aka, reproduce the bug) is captured here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-T6XrBOQoxUfz83-AmShLV_vVLHh6OJPCv5hnbnvKHE/edit#bookmark=id.ylp...
@Bhumika please see this video demonstrating the bug: https://youtu.be/L1gJRDc1M5w. The video clearly shows the issue in the iOS search result. Please also pass along my comments from the previous two replies to whoever is investigating the bug. I really appreciate your help and you can contact me at

if I am not responding promptly. Once again, I urge Airbnb iOS team to fix the bug ASAP given its potential implications.
Please notice the incorrect photos as seen in the video, are different from the incorrect photos provided inhttps://tinyurl.com/Airbnbiosbug. This is because I recently logged out of the Airbnb app by accident, and lost the exact earlier state. However I have been updating listing recently and were able to reproduce the bug as see in the video.
@Bhumikathe listing info is in that doc link already. Please do not take this bug lightly because it effectively shows misinformation about my listing and I am not sure if this is compliant with user data protection regulations. Please help prioritize fixing this bug ASAP.
@Bhumika I have answered your question. Do you need more information? Could you please help escalate this issue to the developers? Thanks!
@Olivia756 off topic, but how is it you are using a new profile to talk about your listing on the CC?
Actually, you have two accounts? and maybe a 3rd one for your host profile? just curious how you managed this.
