Airbnb Wrongfully Removed Our Listing as a Duplicate – Need Help

Hello everyone, we’re in a difficult situation and need urgent advice. We recently started renting a villa in Phuket, Villa Shine, and officially took over the lease from the landlord on March 1, 2025. The previous host and their management were completely separate from us and have never been involved in our operations in any way. We set up our own completely new listing under our account, but Airbnb has now flagged it as a "duplicate" of the old listing, which apparently had past issues. Because of this, they have removed our listing, even though we have no connection to the previous host’s operations. We already submitted an appeal with full screenshots of our lease agreement proving we only took over the villa in March. However, with Easter and Songkran coming up, we need this resolved immediately so we don’t miss out on bookings during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.

We’ve read that similar cases have taken 7+ days to resolve, but we can’t afford to be unlisted during this peak season. Has anyone successfully escalated a case like this? How can we speed up the process? Any advice on getting this resolved faster would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi @Peter4589

I'm really sorry to hear there was an issue with your listing. I see that there are multiple ones active on your profile now - is everything resolved, or do you need any further help?

Let us know how you are getting on 🙂

Thanks,

Emilie
