Airbnb getting a registration number in vermont

Airbnb will keep my listing at a 5 night minimum until I get a vermont registration number. 

Does anyone know who to contact and how long it takes

What I found out is that the Airbnb customer service rep was wrong in telling me that my town in Vermont required me to register with the state of Vermont and get a registration number. I spoke to my local town hall and they confirmed this. Also, I spoke to several Airbnb hosts in my area and no one had even heard of Vermont registration numbers.
