Beachfront property won't filter as a beachfront

Beachfront property won't filter as a beachfront

MY Oceanfront property in Kona stopped filtering as Beachfront. Beaches in Kona are rocky and my oceanfront property beach infront is rocky.  Every other property in my complex and next door properties plus properties across the street all populate beachfront. SInce this gliche happened 3months ago, I haven't had one airbnb booking. I have escalated with no success. Any ideas?

Hi @Dawn1097 👋

Sorry to read that you're having some issues with the filters. Would you be able to share which of your 4 listings this affects please?

Mahalo Rebecca for looking into this.  In Kona all beaches are rocky, not traditional white sand beaches.  The issue is most if not all condos that sit on the Oceanside and many not on the Oceanside populate Beachfront.  Mine use to populate Beachfront but once I started using a property management system it lost the Beachfront category.  So unless I can get my property categorized Beachfront again my AirBnB business is no longer.  If you need anything from me to get my category changed to Beachfront LMK.  I even hired Evolve to take new pictures to try and get this change to happen. SO very confused. Mahalo Dawn King

I'm trying to send you links to my property non beachfront filter and ones located next to mine that filter beachfront but it won't allow me to send the links.   My property effected: Oceanfront/A/C/Elevator/Surfers- Dolphins + Whales

Hi @Dawn1097

Thanks so much for getting back in touch and letting me know. I wondered if you could check something for me in that listing editor:

  • To make your listing appear when guests search for Beachfront properties, select the Beachfront filter under Beach Access in your listing settings. The Beachfront is found as an option under Beach Access.

  • For the Beachfront filter, your listing must have no house between your property and the beach.
    • If there’s a house in between, your listing may not show up in Beachfront search results, even if you added the amenity.
After you add the Beachfront or Waterfront amenity, it can take up to 48 hours for your listing to show in the associated search filters.

Looking forward to hearing from you! 😊

@Rebecca , thanks so much for your help and I hate bothering you again:). I have to now houses in between my property and the beach so it has beach access. I can't find the beach access filter to choose beachfront?

Hi @Dawn1097, you're no bother at all. Are you able to share a screenshot of your options, and we can go from there? 😊

My beachfront is in review and since Jan 17th.

Hi @Dawn1097, this screenshot looks like it's from the Elevate platform.

Could you go to your listing admin page > listing editor> amenities and check for the 'beach access details' option, and if so, can you toggle on beachfront from there?

Will do::)

Let me guess, they never replied to you. I have the exact same problem. I’ve been contacting Airbnb support for 24 days. This happened 2 years ago as well. It took 56 days of constant pestering to get it fixed in 2024. I was able to accomplish that by always replying on the same email thread, thus never allowing customer support to close it. However, they have since disabled that so now the ambassadors can close your case when they want to. They give you case numbers and ticket numbers and tell you it’s flagged, but I’ve found there’s no record of any of it. Each new ambassador and “supervisor” I talk with can’t find the details of my cases and tickets. They keep wanting me to repeat myself. They don’t even see the flags I was assured were on my case. So good luck. Your best bet is to list on VRBO and make them compete for your bookings. An ambassador even admitted that.

I tried this, it didn’t work and it’s been well over 48 hours.
