We are really enjoying hosting with Airbnb and wondered how we can boost our bookings? For some reason our cottage does not come up when I search with key words in Google even though our cottage is a guest favourite with all 5* reviews. Is there a way to check why my cottage doesn’t come up and how to boost my SEO? Thanks so much in advance for any assistance
@Anna14938 If you switch on Instant Book you will get a boost in the search engine. Also a quick search in your area for 4 people suggests you are a bit expensive (certainly in Winter) compared to others.

Hi Anna, I searched open Feb dates using 2 guests and the Guest House Filter. There were 90 properties that came up in the search. I did notice that out of the 90 properties, you were in the top 10 most expensive. I always try to check my competition for my open dates and make sure my prices are competitive relative to other available comparable properties. You could try lowering your price a bit, or running a price promotion on some of the dates to see if that encourages more bookings.
New hosts get an artificial boost in the rankings when you start which can make hosts think bookings come in easily. @Anna14938
Before you set up your STR business did you do any market research around supply and demand for your sort of listing - many areas suffer from over saturated markets .
You can't boost 'SEO' as you don't control the Airbnb platform but you can encourage more bookings by listing on all relevant STR platforms and setting up your own direct booking channels and invest in marketing to drive traffic to them.
