Hello
I noticed today that all my properties calendars are open one year in advance despite my setting being only three months in advance.
Luckily I caught it as I can't host on some of the open dates.
Has anyone else had this issue.
Hello @Tony-And-Una0
You have dates blocked off your calendars well beyond 3 months on your listings it would seem, are these bookings? Any chance you're using a Channel Manager to coordinate all your listings? If so, the settings on the CM may override the ones set by yourself on Airbnb. Worth double checking?
But it's also possible it's a bug too.
The plot thickens.
They appear open on my calendar in admin. But not available to book for guests.
I don't use a channel manager.
No idea what is going on.
@Tony-And-Una0 can you screen shot your calendar for the month of June (outside your 3 month window) to see if 23rd to 27th June are open like in guest mode?
I imagine you've gone into your calendar settings to check that the 3 month window hasn't been changed for some reason? Unexplained changes to calendar settings have happened to hosts before and also changes to the minimum stay requirement and Customer Service will tell you that you made the changes.
Hello @Tony-And-Una0
So the dates on your calendar viewed as a guest that are blocked off like in the screen shot are showing available your end? And you don't have bookings for these dates?? Sorry just realised I was in French mode but think you can muddle through😁 Also dates in July booked off.
Do you use Professional Tools by any chance?
That's correct. On my Airbnb calendar they are showing as open.
But to the guests they are closed as they should be.
It's across all six of my calendars.
@Tony-And-Una0 Except they're not closed to the guests as some are open as seen in the screen shot so I could book the dates open if I wanted to eg: 23rd to 27th June. Your 4 day minimum stay shows up all right.
I had manually opened the dates for the summer which is why they are showing as open.
But past September they should all be closed..
It's definitely a bug.
I've a suspicion it's to do with guests being allowed to request to book closed dates which Airbnb are rolling out around now.
Ciao @Tony-And-Una0 and @Joelle43 ,
I believe that the problem is due to a recent setting introduced by Airbnb in Calendar > Availability > Availability (see below) which is setted as ON by default!
Thanks
My settings are still at 3 months in advance.

Well...this is interesting 🤔
I just checked some US-based Host calendars and that new option slider button is not showing?
One Host has set "Unavailable by Default"
One Host has set "12 months"
Maybe this new slider option only appears in certain countries, or only if you select 3 months availability?
Perhaps this is Airbnb trying to get Hosts who have short availability set (3mos, 6mos) in a back door way show more availability to guests and of course, more bookings/fees. The more available the dates are, the more potential bookings and income from booking fees. This could be beneficial to both Hosts & Guests alike. However, setting the default to ON is not a good idea. Let the Host choose if they want to use the option, not automatically make them do it.
You are right @Joan2709 , infact I have setted the option to OFF 😉 (I have 12 months availablity in Venice Italy)
