My name is Sheila. I have been ask by a prospective guest if I can send a video. Is that allowed on Airbnb?

Hello @Sheila847, You cannot send a video to a guest. You also cannot send photos until the reservation is confirmed.
Once a guest books your place (when the reservation is confirmed), you will be able to send additional photos to the guest (but not videos).
There are plenty of other ways to get a sense of the space ahead of time. Encourage guests to review your listing description and photos, and tell them you’re happy to answer any additional questions they might have.
Kind regards.
Elena.

Hello @Elena4354 , I am a new host was asked to do the same thing send a video. I did not think it was possiable and let the potential guest know that there was no way to send a video on ths plateform. He then asked for me to send it on his whats upp app. I also explained i woukd not be doing that outside this platform. Is there any way ths platform can let potential know this is not a paltform that allows host to do this and or just a notice that its shold not be allowed. I wasnt comfortable with following through on the request. Hwever it would make it much easier if it wasnt even allowed to be asked.
Hello @Duana3
This is a common way for scammers to get new hosts to go off platform. They know Airbnb doesn't allow this and that's why they asked you to use WhatsApp - it's a way of engaging with you to ask you to go direct.
What you can do though, is flag this person by using the three little dots that appear on the right hand side of the message where they ask you to send it on his WhatsApp.
Your instincts were good Duana!
All the best
